Living In A Maze – Helping The Little Guy Out Of The Internet Marketing Maze Of Bad Information (Since 2525)
Have you ever felt that you still need something – a little piece of information or a formula to follow – in order to succeed as an Internet marketer?
You know – those “gurus”, WSO sellers and what not seem to get huge amounts of traffic and great conversions so easily… But when you buy their products, you’re still not confident that YOU can do the same?
Let’s be honest here – it’s partly your fault if you haven’t achieved your goals yet. The formula (well, at least one of them) is simple: Put up a page that sells something, build traffic to it by leveraging other peoples’ assets (or at least, that’s what I would do if I was a beginner…) and start testing what works and what does not work with your page.
No matter how bad you think your page is, you can make it convert through testing (split testing etc.)! As for traffic, there are foolproof ways to get high-quality visitors to your page quite fast… More about that later.
BUT! You are not the only one to blame…
The fact is that most Internet marketers who teach Internet marketing have no idea how to educate people and make them take action. They take no responsibility over those people who follow and trust them. All they want is money.
Do you think I’m over-exaggerating?
When you buy an Internet marketing product, you are so full of confidence and determination – “I can be successful by following THIS blueprint!” etc. But when you start consuming and implementing the blueprint… Nothing comes out of it.
Was it just not the “thing” you were looking for? Well, no…
This happens because of fear. Most often, Fear Of Failure.
The confidence and determination that you had at the beginning turns into the opposite feeling.
And it’s not entirely your fault. It’s a subconscious thing that is hard to control. It’s also due to the “suckiness” (excuse me…) of the product you just bought. Didn’t I mention earlier that most marketers just aren’t very good teachers?
Our little marketplace is full of these “2-hour products” (you know – “I created this product in 2 hours and I’m so proud of it!”
), hit-and-miss blueprints that are full of holes or straight-out scams.
Well, that was kind of a long introduction…
In short, we at Living In A Maze try not follow the dumb herd.
Our goal is to publish material that really helps you get more traffic and sales.
We believe that…
- Only foolproof (anyone can do this) and “waterproof” (there is no room for error) blueprints and formulas can lead our customers to success.
- Through thorough research and preparation (keyword research, market research, brainstorming etc.) you can save a LOT of time and achieve extraordinary results.
- Only by understanding your target audience’s feelings, motivations, goals etc., can you convert people into subscribers, customers and fans (tricks are cool and all, but popups etc. don’t make people buy…)
- Theory is just as important as “actionable steps” – if you don’t understand it, you can’t replicate it.
- People who think all this sounds “boring” maybe should re-think what really matters in marketing… The latest techniques? Cool tools? Traffic (but not conversions or “visitor value”)? Or perhaps…
You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want. – Zig Ziglar

Mitro "The IM Nerd" Patrikainen
Yes, he’s (or I am…) the founder of Living In A Maze. –>
An extraordinary being (just kidding…) with a weird name from some cold periphery in Europe.
(Changing to 1st person…)
I have a pretty usual story – For a relatively long time I struggled with Internet marketing. Only after figuring out what really works, I started growing my business. I held myself accountable by sharing my plans and progression with a certain community I was a part of. I started partnering with more successful people in my markets, and leveraged their assets to build mine… But enough about that. If you’re interested, you’ll be able to hear the details if you just stick around with me long enough.
Since then I’ve been able to work with wonderful marketers like Jason Fladlien, Shane Melaugh, Maria Gudelis, John S. Rhodes and many more.
Every day I strive to learn more about how to get ultra-targeted visitors (instead of tons of not-so-targeted traffic), how to convert as many of those few visitors into long-time customers… And then I report my findings to you guys, to help you achieve your own goals and dreams.
Marketing is my passion, Internet is my venue, teaching is delightfully challenging and that’s why I do this.
And at the same time, maybe I’ll make some money too, right?

“I’ve bought a ton of products, most of which I didn’t act upon.” I’ve done the same thing. I acted on some of them and didn’t follow through. But now things are different. I have made it a point to just get it done. Like a job, I will punch in and just do it. I just joined Earn1kaDay yesterday and found a comment you made…to the question why people don’t take action. You said “They don’t have the right mindset nor the right (action-taking) systems in place.” I must say you hit the target. I like your blog and will visit again. I must admit I wasn’t going to leave a commit until I saw a link to a free interview. LOL
Glad to hear that my experiences and thoughts resonate with at least you!
Also, good to know that the bribe works!
Wonderful write-up. I’d like it if much more persons had straightforward and also to the stage things comparable to yours.
