Do you know the #1 most effective way to get people engaged in your content?
We’re talking about something that’s been practiced for centuries…
…
We’re talking about stories.
Whether it is a bed-time story, a detective story, the story of a woman who lost 200 pounds in one month or any other story, it’s what makes people listen to others, it makes them not want to put their favorite book away and it makes them stare the TV all day long.
And when it comes to stories, there is a very powerful way to create anticipation, excitement, even commitment towards your content…
Here’s a hint: Why do people keep returning in front of their TV every day at exactly the same time? Or why do people keep buying books from the same author?
It’s because they want to continue following the story that ended with a cliffhanger in the last episode/last book.
The point is that you may not want to give out all the content at once, but get your customers engaged, create some anticipation and make them commit to the process by… making it a process.
Also, don’t forget to use stories. They’re seriously the best way to engage people.
